Getting started

Sign in at: https://www.bhplta.co.uk/bhplta_scorer/bhplta-player-scorer-home-page/

You can also find a sign-in link at the top of the Clubs menu in the main navigation of the BHPLTA website.

Choosing your team

On the Scorer homepage (for your club), choose the team you are captaining from the Select team drop-down menu.

Selecting a fixture

When you have selected a team, you will see a list of all their upcoming fixtures. Select a fixture to open the event scorecard. Note: Postponed fixtures will appear at the bottom of the list.

Filling in the scorecard

Date played

When you first open the scorecard for a fixture, the Date Played selector will use the current date. IMPORTANT! If you are scoring the fixture after the day of the event, please change Date Played to the date on which the event was played.

Selecting players

To select a player, tap one of the Select Player drop-down menus and choose from the list of names.

You can use the search box to find a player or scroll through the list.

How to add an unlisted player

If the name of the player you wish to select is not in the drop-down menu, you can manually enter the player’s name. Tap Player not listed (click to add manually) in the menu.

Type the name in the box that appears and click OK.

The name you inserted will now appear on the Parks League Scorer in its own box.

Entering the scores

Tap the Set drop-down menus and choose the number of games each team won.

Conceded matches

If one of the teams concedes a match, tap the Match conceded drop-down menu and select the team that has conceded (Home or Away). The scores will be entered automatically. No player names are required. The non-conceding team will receive two sets.

If you mark a match as conceded in error, select the red X next to the drop-down menu to cancel it. Alternatively, select the Match conceded menu again and choose Undo conceded.

Retired and Halved matches

If a team retires, or the two teams agree to halve a match, tick the relevant checkbox found underneath the player names. Remember to fill in the player names and scores, as above. The non-retiring team will receive two sets. If the match has entered the third set, the retiring team will receive one set.

Saving progress

You can save your progress as you enter match details. To do so, select the Save button in the header at the top of the screen. You may need to refresh the page when returning to it after visiting other web pages in order to view the saved details.

Note: Saving progress DOES NOT submit the results. To submit the results, see the next item, Submitting the results.

Submitting the results

To submit the scorecard, first tap the Preview button at the bottom of the page.

The preview screen shows the scorecard information in an easy-to-read format. Show this to the away captain. If either captain notices a mistake, tap the Go back to the scorecard link at the bottom of the page to return to the scorecard.

When both captains are satisfied the scorecard is correct, select the Home and Away captains’ names from the drop-down menus at the bottom of the page. Next, ask the Away captain to enter their email address in the Away Captain’s confirmation section.

Tap the Submit scores button to submit your scores. You will receive an on-screen confirmation when the scores have been added to the BHPLTA database.

Sharing the results

You can share the results in a couple of ways.

  1. When the results have been successfully submitted, the scorecard will resize to fit the screen better. Take a screenshot of the screen to share with the other members of your club.

  2. You can share a link to the match card for this match. Match cards appear on the main BHPLTA website (in the Results and Tables section) where club members can view match cards for all the matches their club’s teams have played. To share the link to the match card, tap the Copy Link button that appears below the submitted results. This copies the link to your device’s clipboard. You can then share this link via WhatsApp, text, email, etc.
