Stanford Tennis Club
Stanford is a small friendly tennis club of between 30 and 40 members, based in Brighton’s beautiful and popular Preston Park, which is between the A23 London Road and Preston Park Avenue.
We have three teams competing in the Parks League and welcome people of all ages that can play to a good club standard. Club morning is on Saturday from 10 – 12 and if you would like to come down on a Saturday to practice, then we would be happy to meet you and you can play for a couple of complementary taster sessions, before deciding if you wish to join. We have coffee after in the Rotunda Café after and if you wish you can join us, to ask any other questions you may have.
There is a good social side to the club and in addition to the regular matches, we hold an American style tournament in the summer; and various social events throughout the year which are open to all, and tend to be well supported as they are a lot of fun.
“I joined Stanford tennis club when I was 21 and decades later I’m still here, enjoying the togetherness of spirit that I have yet to find at any other parks tennis club,” says Anne. “I would like to invite you to join us at one of our club sessions, on a Saturday morning between 10 and 12 for some excellent tennis and coffee afterwards, so that I am able to discuss the club with you and answer any questions that you may have.”
